California “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” Notice
Last updated: 06-06-2025
1. Introduction
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you certain rights regarding your personal information. In particular, California Civil Code Section 1798.100 et seq. (“Shine the Light” and related amendments) requires businesses to provide an easy way for you to request that we do not sell (or share) your personal information. This notice explains how you can make that request.
2. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
SolarPV Sizer does not sell or share your personal information (as those terms are defined under CCPA) to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. If our practices change in the future, we will update this notice accordingly and provide a valid mechanism to opt out.
3. Your California Privacy Rights
Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, share, or disclose.
- Request deletion of personal information we have collected from you (subject to certain exceptions).
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
4. How to Exercise Your “Do Not Sell My Information” Right
Although we do not sell or share personal information, if you believe otherwise or if we begin selling/sharing in the future, you can submit a request to opt out by:
-
Visiting our “Do Not Sell My Info” page:
https://www.solarpvsizer.com/do-not-sell - Emailing us at: privacy@solarpvsizer.com
We are an online service, so requests can be made via email or our web form, consistent with California law.
When you send a “do not sell” request, please provide enough information for us to verify your identity (for example, your full name, email address used on this site, and the subject line: “Do Not Sell My Personal Information Request”). Once verified, we will honor your request within 15 business days.
5. What Information We Collect and Disclose
Although we do not sell personal information, the CCPA requires disclosure of categories of data we collect and how those categories might be used. For reference, we collect categories such as:
- Identifiers (e.g., name, email address, IP address).
- Commercial information (e.g., purchase history, quote requests).
- Internet or network information (e.g., browsing history, search history).
- Geolocation data (e.g., latitude/longitude from map lookups).
- Inferences drawn from any of the above (e.g., user preferences).
We may share certain information with:
- Service providers who help us run our site (e.g., hosting providers, email delivery).
- Affiliates or third-party partners only to fulfill the purposes described in our Privacy Policy (e.g., email newsletters, analytics).
- As required by law, to comply with a subpoena, court order, or similar legal process.
6. Verification Process
When you submit a request under CCPA, we will need to reasonably verify that you are the person about whom we collected information. Reasonable verification may include matching information you provide (such as email or account ID) against our records. If we cannot verify you, we may deny the request.
7. Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. If we make any material changes affecting California residents’ rights under CCPA, we will post a notice on our homepage and send you an email if you have an account with us.
